14.1 Publication of Accreditation Status

The institution (a) accurately represents its accreditation status and publishes the name, address, and telephone number of SACSCOC in accordance with SACSCOC’s requirements and federal policy; and (b) ensures all its branch campuses include the name of that institution and make it clear that their accreditation depends on the continued accreditation of the parent campus. Narrative

St. Petersburg College (SPC) accurately represents its accreditation status and publishes the name, address, and telephone number of SACSCOC in accordance with SACSCOC’s requirements and federal policy. The College does not have branch campuses and presents all accreditation information as one college with 11 sites and campuses located throughout Pinellas County, Florida and online.

SPC publishes its accreditation status across multiple electronic sites and platforms, as well as in print materials, to ensure that students, faculty, staff, College stakeholders, and the community are aware of the College’s accreditation status. The SPC Marketing Department works with the SACSCOC Liaison to ensure that accreditation language is consistent with current SACSCOC publications and policies and accurately represents the College’s accreditation status. Accreditation wording included on these sites and platforms reads as follows:

St. Petersburg College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award Bachelor of Science degrees, Bachelor of Applied Science Degrees, Associate in Arts degrees, and Associate in Science degrees. Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
